Microsoft Windows: Download Install File & Retrieve Product Key (Students)

All LSU students are entitled to Windows software at no cost through the LSU Microsoft Student Use Benefit program. This article provides information on how to access Windows.

 

To Download & Install Windows:

  1. Navigate to https://azureforeducation.microsoft.com/devtools and log in with your myLSU credentials.
     
  2. Fill out the following form with your first and last name, if it has not automatically been added.

  3. For School, start typing "Louisiana" then select "Louisiana State University (Baton Rouge)" from the dropdown list.

  4. Enter your date of birth.

  5. Solve the captcha on the page and click Next.

  6. At the bottom, click Verify academic status and accept Terms.

  7. You will then be able to access Windows products through Microsoft Azure.
  • If you do not see available Windows software after logging in and checking your portal, please call (866) 643-9421 to troubleshoot your student portal through Microsoft.
